Would you say it's a feature or a bug that logged-in users can change the name with which they post? i say it's a feature.

What do you guys think of a cookie system that will allow you to stay logged in to the site (even if you close the window and come back a week later)?

if you mean your computer doesn't accept them, then all that means is you'll have to log in every time :) alternatively, you could set your pootar to accept them from club409.com :)
