Weee for roads flooded with hepatitis water. All of Melbourne is more or less under water. Went to the beach on Tuesday afternoon.. the rain was stingy.

Today Conrad and I were driving in his truck from his house to mine because his power was out and we wanted to play games / read the internets / have AC. On the way we took a shortcut through a school parking lot because there was a car getting pulled out of a flooded ditch blocking the road. As we go to pull back onto the road, Conrad decides that he'd rather be in the ditch than on the road. so the truck ends up tipped at about a 40° angle. i get out and try to push while he puts it in reverse.. no dice. so some nice people stop and offer a tow. However, when they start pulling, his truck goes closer to a 65° angle and shuts off. Eventually we got it out of the water, and miraculously, the truck started up again with some minor complaints. chode balls! F.U., Fay!

I'm going to miss 3 days of work this week, which is fine with me, but my last day is supposed to be Friday. If the flood waters don't go away by then, and work gets canceled again, that will screw up my plans immensely (I can't just not go to work anymore, i need to be depantsed debriefed and all that jazz).
