Hannah got a text message from the school (which apparently has a voluntary text message alert sign up) saying to immediately evacuate campus. Shortly after, she got another text saying to disregard the last message. Then they were told it was a small explosion in the chemistry building and one person had minor injuries, but they didn't say what chemical it was.
any updates?
She walked by the building after class and said the firetrucks had left, so I don't know. I guess it wasn't as big of a deal as they thought. It made CNN though. They said the emergency system was activated by accident. They got another text message saying the first text was in error and that everything was fine, which it obviously wasn't, so some tech people are upset. Still no word on what chemical it was or who got hurt.
see this is why you don't report chemical spills ;-)
if you report, the terrorists win
