So, I know the 4th of July is in the middle of the week this year, so I was thinking we had some options for to celebrate and shoot off lots and lots of fireworks. We can either do it the weekend before or after or people can come up on Tuesday. I only get Wednesday off though, so that sucks. We have a hot tub and pool and horses and four wheelers and dirt bikes and all that good stuff. I know it's still a few weeks away, but I thought we should get ideas started now. What do you guys think we should do?

Road Trip soon? I'm feeling it this year! I so wanna go all out. I would just buy fireworks in Evans, but I've always favored phantom. If I do go (alone perhaps), would some of you pitch in? I might spend like 200-250. Phantom always does a buy one get one free deal, so it works out to being like $500 worth of good quality fun. :D Of course none of these "unsafe and insane" fireworks are legal in GA, so maybe we can mosey on over to SC when we're in Evans.

Will you guys be in Atlanta Tuesday night though? You said we could stay, but now I'm not sure if you guys would be there.

Smoov B is hopefully flying in to ATL sometime before the 4th for a bit of visiting. For the actual holiday weekend, he, rachew and I will be driving to Laurel, MS to spend it at "Inn Over Our Heads" (That's the nickname of our parents' house, all the cool kids are doing it). Anyone else that wants to experience fireworks on the lake is welcome to join us. Depending on how many takers we have (that is, more than one), we might require an additional vehicle.

As for the week leading up to the 4th -- I have Friday, July 3 off as a work holiday. I haven't made any plans for other vacation days, but I will have enough hours to take off another day (maybe 2, depending on my other vacation plans for this year). If you wanted to come in Wednesday evening, I could prolly take thursday off, and then we'd head for MS on friday after breakfast / lunch / whenever.

I have Friday off, but I have to work all day Thursday so I won't be able to be down there until late Thursday. I think there's a big show over the lake, so I don't really feel like spending money on stuff either. Sparklers and bottle rockets perhaps, but nothing too big/expensive.
don't forget roman candles and snaps! Although those things would be way cooler if they also made the snapping noise when you lit them on fire. one of those cheap assortments you can find at any grocery store should have everything. :) Haha, I remember the days when I was too good to buy those things: "Who buys these fireworks?!" i've become what I hate most! NOOO!!!!
apparently there is no big show at the lake, but it's possible that various people living around the lake (including us?) will set some stuff off. i say we bring the trash bag of stuff that's been in our garage, and see which ones still ignite :)
