an aquaintance has 4 ACC tickets for $95 total, and they'll prolly go fast.

I have to agree with steve. I think the refs did the right thing by not blowing the ball dead because no one could say, without a doubt, whether someone had possession or not. I just thought it was unpossible that the guy wasn't on the ground when he got possession. After seeing the replay though, he was clearly on his feet when he ripped the ball from the pile. ::stomps feet and flails arms in a fit of rage::
We had SOOOOOOOOOOOOO many opportunities to take control of that game though. We just have a team of chokers--that is to say, we have Reggie Ball. Ok, I take it back, you have to be good before you can be a choker. :( Everyone stepped up to the plate (e.g. - that return to the 33 after the fluke TD), Reggie Ball just lost it for us. ::shrugs shoulders::
p.s. - Mike I'm still up for going. This might be the last time we get to see CJ (besides our bowl game). I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't come back to play with a Reggie Ball backup QB.

Reggie Ball has gotten death threats after saturday's performance.
and that's surprising?
I wasn't saying it was surprising, simply stating the obvious.
I actually was disappointed in J.Johnson more than anyone else. Two wide open passes in the hands and he missed both of them. Actually looked like he batted them down instead of trying to catch them. He still got rocked on the 2nd one after he missed it. Then I didnt really care for CJs performance either. He had 2 CJ make-able catches for touchdowns that I felt should've been caught. Lastly, judging from the newspaper (they felt the ball should have been called down), but from everyone that i talked to who got to see the replay said the correct call was made. So I'll take it. reggie balls performance was expected, so not too disappointed.
and I never meant to get into the rules, but they are all vague. everything is defined by having 'possession' which is then defined by 'controlled'. but what is controlled? sometimes not much control is needed, but others if you cant withstand an assault from the 6 nearest 350 pound giants, you dont have possession.

if it helps, if it was LSU in GT's place, i think i'd still agree with the call. when i saw it live, i objected but when they showed the replay i conceded it was the right call.
and i definitely agree that the rules are vague. the rules say to complete a catch you only have to firmly hold the ball while touching the ground. but if someone hits you a second after you land and the ball comes loose, 99 times out of 100 its an incomplete pass, not a fumble, regardless of how firmly your hold on the ball was.

In the rules doc they have a listing of all the official signals.
:' p dont we have more arkansas fans here than florida fans?
i don't really care as long as USC gets creamed. and hopefully we can go to the Rose Bowl and finish off the Booty family once and for all
I'll be cheering for arkansas and for ucla. I don't want to see usc or florida in the championship game. although i doubt florida will pass michigan even with a big win over arkansas.
i hate gt. the offensive coordinator needs to go.
gj shitty refs not calling pass interference on either team
GRRRRRRR pooponchest
someone needs to remind GT that there is more than the 1st half of a football game. the 2nd half does matter. i'm probably going to rant a little, but does it seem to everyone else that when we find something that works (aka running Choice, throwing short passes to CJ), we stop it immediately? for instance the 1st drive went well, then we stopped doing everything that went well that drive. but we still keep our inability to finish off a drive!!!!!
"gj shitty refs not calling pass interference on either team" ... lol what? Did you watch the game? We had like 3 pass interference calls, two for CJ, and one for JJ, all of which could have been deemed uncatchable--Reggie was throwing the ball.
All it takes for us to lose is ONE FUCKING FLUKE PLAY!!! In this game, it was CJ playing tip drill with the defense!!! WTFFF!!!?!?!?!!!!?!?!?!??///
I think all of us were saying the same thing Justin. The first drive of the 1st and 2nd halves were perfect...quick short passes to CJ and an occasional draw to Choice. Of course it doesn't work in the red zone, so we could never score a TD. We were calling for quick slants, but one of the few that Reggie actually threw was intercepted, and JJ got injured on another one. :T

stupid arkansas
haha then they get a TD
watching the usc/ucla game, the only way i will be slightly happy is if ucla wins, which they might. I just like to add that if usc comes back, they should look back at 6:01 left and the usc defender hit the ucla qb on 3rd down helmet to helmet near the out of bounds area. but of course, no call.
