hardest course in georgia.. u guys pwn'd it
'Twas not the course of which you speak. I believe the hard one is in Roswell. This one is in Marietta. Some old German dudes were hitting the pin off every drive at this one. So we've got some work to do.
Alright drew, we need to plays again. I played at patriots again, +4. they lengthened the course, added a 15th hole by changing 9 and 10. also, played at a new course today at wildwood. it is still somewhat under construction but was rather long with most holes over 500, some in the 600s, and one over 700 and it is throughout the woods, so nothing is open. on 3 holes, you have to throw it over water, not streams, but the lake (clarks hill). it plays to a lefties advantage though (luckily for me) so if a righty messes up, they will curve straight out into the middle of the lake. i curve straight into the trees. but it costs 2 dollars to play (vehicle charge to park basically, not $2/person. they havent designated what is par on each hole yet, but supposedly they will eventually have 3 courses out there. they only had the long pins up, but they will have short pins up too (who cares?). overall, interesting course, the water makes it more intense in my opinion b/c there is no fetching available. and you have to be able to throw low and straight the whole time, it is designed for pdga, so you have to try it.
they talk a little about it here
they talk a little about it here
i'll be in town in may, it's ON
since when does water make it so there's no fetching available?
if you dont mind swimming out into a lake of urine, i guess fetching would be available. how one hole in particular is designed, you have to throw it out over the water, i'm estimating it is about 70 yard throw to get it across at the smallest point, so you cant hold back too much. also, before you get to the water though, you have a stretch of narrow trees you have to throw through first. so any deviation to the left and you are way out into the lake. there would be no way of using a stick to retrieve your disc, so i hope you dont mind playing the remaining holes soaking wet. oh yeah, dodge the water mocassins/cottonmouths which the map of the golf course says to watch out for. i never saw one, but for it to say to watch out for them especially on hole 12, they must be there. and possible alligators, j/king on the later, supposedly they wont cross the "fall line" b/c the water is too cold, but i find that stupid b/c the body of water mixes with where they are at now. either way, i find that to put pressure on the throw, and i just dont care that much about an $8 disc to go swimming.
but i would have to admit, it would be delightful to watch someone try. unless i drove.
oh, he'll do it, he don't even care, i've seen it
Dude, Saturday's gonna be gorgeous. DG?
I can't. EIT
man, that thing's bogus anyway. rachel still hasn't heard back yet.
I send them letters every 3 weeks...no reply. Shawn, why don't you ask them what's up when you see them on Saturday?
I found a really good website for golf discs. The DX line is 6.99 per disc, but there is free shipping on all purchases (with a 12.99 minimum though). but honestly, who isnt going to buy at least 2 discs? I just ordered from there, so I will update how I liked my business transaction with them. And Drew, they did finally get some Dragon's in. Gonna be awesome.
anybody interested in making an order? i actually only want one disc because i already have too many that i don't use. i've got my eye on a 180g roc.
I don't need a disc, but I am up for some DG this Sunday. Who's in?
I'm down
i'm up

Got my discs today, so the transaction was pretty good (got screwed by no delivering of mail over the weekend). On my first throw of the Dragon in my backyard, it apparently floats not only in water, but also trees. 45 minutes, 1 toss. So Drew, DG tomorrow?
