geez dude, so when do you receive your check from ea for writing that post?

me and arif tried the demo of army of two, seemed alright, perhaps it warrants a rent for further eval, so much gamage, so little time
Microsoft Points are what you use in xbox land to buy things such as movies, games, additional game content (rock band songs), etc.

any parties concerned in any matters relating to xboxing (future PMC residents, obviously) should go here and half-assedly design a car, enter some BS info (legitimate email), check the box that says I want MS points, and BAM!, an activation code for 100 free MS points in your email, 1 entry per day, up to 2000 points

get on it
So is your msn live id limited to one per day? Or is the email address limited per day? If it's the latter scenario, mailinator? Eh?
should we be redeeming these all on the same account to consolidate pointage?
you enter in the redemption codes on the xbox and they're credited to whatever live id you have signed in at the time, so it doesn't matter where we get the redemption codes, just how we enter them

as far as live id or email address for limitation, i don't know
it would seem that it's a per email address limitation, because they give you a redemption code for registering your car.

as far as redeeming -- i can enter the redemption code online if i wanted to, and it'll be on my newly-created MSN account or something. but i'm guessing that i should hold off on that? enter it on the xbox, yes?
that would probably be the optimal course of action

edit: and it appears the new guitar hero game will be compatible with rock band instruments and that the guitar hero drum kit will also be midi enabled

we're gonna need to get all this straightened out like day 1 in the PMC
actually, now that i look at them, i wonder if i can buy a good electric drum kit and just plug up the rock band/gh module for gaming, rather than getting the previously posted rock band kit and plugging up the midi drum kit module...

edit: seems more involved measures have been taken for the original rock band, this may be necessary
Re: the MS points

they're holding off on sending codes until Sept 19th and they'll send a code for all your points, so keep track of your login info for the site and keep designing, cars that aren't designed at all get flagged
so i redeemed a code using my gmail account and successfully received the 100 ms points. then i set up an account using my gt email and tried to redeem the points using the code sent there, but it said "you have already redeemed the maximum number of points for this promotion today." so, you can get the codes using multiple emails every day, but you can only redeem one code per xbox live account per day. lame.
Yeah I got the same thing this morning. I knew it wouldn't work, otherwise you could get 2000 in the same day. You can however get a ton of codes by sending them to mailinator, and then just add one a day to each msn account you have. My guess is that even if you add it on the xbox, you can only redeem one per account.

Drew do you know if you can transfer points to another account?
yes, i added it to my xbox live account. that's what i meant to say, but left it out. when you sign up for an xbox live account you have to have a windows live account. A song on Rock Band can cost between 80 and 160 ms points. I bought the best of The Who album yesterday for RB and it cost 1600 points for 12 songs. 2000 points cost $25.00. Totally worth it though - Who are You and Baba O'Riley (which I thought was titled Teenage Wasteland - thanks RB for clarifying) rocked my socks off.
man every time baba o'riley comes on, i ask everyone in the car if they know what the title is. and every time they say "well i thought it was teenage wasteland, but i guess you're about to correct me?" and i say "yes, it's baba o'riley."
i'm pretty sure once you redeem the codes on an xbox live account they're permanently associated with that account
true story.
pretty much decided the pmc is going to have something like this and some sort of gaming module, or gutted rock band drum kit and some soldering
ok so according to them, the MS points supply has dried up (whatever) and whatever you earned will be sent via a code sometime in september,

good job people
yeah I think I only got 150 points, wtf. Oh well.
