Ubisoft announced Splinter Cell: Conviction, which is both good and bad since I have yet to play the previous splinter cell since the Ubisoft Shanghai team decided to exclude almost all video cards from the minimum requirements. Conviction is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal. They always make a better product.

arif, you should get Puzzle Quest for your DS, i've been playing it on my psp and it's crazy addictive, puzzle game + rpg growth = oh god my eyes but i must keep playing
Insurgency is one of the more notable mods for Half-Life 2 and they've just released the first version. I'll be trying it out later. Most likely everyone with HL2 needs to download it.
I heard "Zombie Master" was pretty good too, but I don't have HL2, so I couldn't say personally.
steam community is in open beta, it's got voice & text chat, stats, groups, scheduling, profiles, integration with non-steam games (as in it's supposed to integrate with generals or whatever), etc. etc.

So Orange Box is coming out pretty soon. It's got HL2, HL2 Episode 1, HL2 Episode 2, Portal, Team Fortress 2. Check Steam for more infos if you are currently in God's good favor. Pretty good deal if you ask me. And here's a teaser for Team Fortress 2 (hopefully the embed works):
