AOL changed their logo (seriously):
my fiance's dad still uses aol. when i asked him why he thought he still needed it to get online with a broadband connection. that shows you their customer base and explains why they can't afford a fancy logo anymore.

my mom still uses aol with her cable connection. she knows that she doesn't need it but still uses it anyway *facepalm*
we bought our grandpa a computer in 1998 that has 64 MB of ram, an 8 GB HDD, most likely a P2, running windows 98 (You can shut down to DOS mode--which I did just for the novelty and nostalgia). To this day he still uses AOL with a 56K modem. *floppydongforehead*

damn. It was a little boy dressed as a character from a clockwork orange. he was wearing all white with the suspenders, fake eye lashes on one eye, and a glass of milk. it wasn't inherently creepy, but the association is disturbing.
