Is she using aluminum or copper pots? Cause induction need stainless steel or cast iron to perform the best. If they're aluminum or copper, then they'll take forever due to the lower surface resistance and therefore lesser heat generated. Otherwise, an induction cooktop should boil a quart of water in about 2 minutes.
