I saw "The Prestige" on Saturday. I give it 3.75/5 sponge balls. There were too many rope a dope plot twists for me, but it was pretty good. However, the other recently released movie dealing with magic was the "The Illusionist" starring Edward Norton. It is out of the theaters now, but I strongly recommend it and give it 4.5/5 thumb tips.

omg 300 posts!
I just saw "The Illusionist," in the theaters! They also have "Little Miss Sunshine," and a third movie--which's name eludes me--that was released a few months ago. I figured it was a dollar theater, so you can imagine the shock I felt when the lady said "That'll be 9 dollars please." It was 8 with the student discount, but still, wtf? Anyways, the movie was terrible ... ... ... ... not! (See Borat for reference)
I give Casino Royale 5 out of 5 swinging rope wads. Go see it.

The Fountain

It is a must see. It is from the same guy that did Requeim for a Dream and Pi. Absolutely brilliant. I give it a 9.5 out of 10.
Haha Wednesday drinking is fantastic! Especially when Thursday is your last day on a project! w00t! Anyways we ended up watching Office Space after a few rounds of Pres. and Asses and Fuck the DealARRR!! I love how i've become one of the bob's + samir na..na..na goonna work here anymore!

p.s. - It's snowing in Seattle...again! wtf! everyone I talked to said it hardly snows here, like once every 3 years (atleast in the downtown area). Well a big hardy FU to those liars! (lol one of my friends, tyson, pegged another friend, haris, in the face w/snow. so like 20 minutes later tyson's walking out onto the porch and haris pegs him in the ear. Haha, tyson goes to gather snow for retaliation, but he's so drunk that he still had snow in his ear the whole time, lol. I guess you had to be there, good times!)
Already saw the fountain. At a sneak preview/ Q&A with Darren. And talked to him for a while. He signed my cup. :-D

But yeah, it was pretty balls, but it couldn't help but be really cheezy at some points (yeah i know the difference between intense and cheezy, but it was mostly intense, and sometimes cheezy). 8/10

Though I think it would get 13/10 floating buddahs if I were high. :-D

PS DYK that NONE of the movie was CGI!!?!? Every single thing in the movie was taken from real photography - the swirly stuff that appears a lot was created by taking pictures of cell colonies through a microscope!
After downloading an ISO of a netherlands-subtitled Borat, I give it 7 out of 10 Vagin that hang like Wizard Sleeve.
Word. (Ocean's 13 trailer)
Explosions, big robots, and concept Camaros. What more could you ask for?
haha. wtf indeed
I wonder if Mighty Mouse will have a cameo appearance?
300 this weekend? eh? Maybe a little 300 atlanta after?
i am def going to see 300 this weekend. and after i put on a clean pair of pants, i'll go see it again.
Did anybody see Children of Men? It's about a year old. I just watched it and it's pretty intense. Good plot, action, horror, and by horror I mean actual tension in the scene not just drill bits going into eyeballs or whatever you kids are watching nowadays. If it's a good movie a burning car does the trick. Oh and as a PSA, the movie will not

and justin, TMNT came out today, 23rd
We watched children of men a short while ago. it gave me chills a few times, for instance during the "exit" scene.

Did it just come out on dvd? b/c I know i've seen it in two commercials lately, but i figured the dvd was out a while ago.
imdb says the dvd is out on the 27th, and imdb also says the burning car scene was done in one take with some sort of special camera rig, thought that was kinda awesome
OH man, I saw that in theaters and as I walked out I turned to my dad and said 'That is my new favorite movie of all times.' I dunno, it just really got to that part of me that really feels things. I was actually sobbing during the scene where everyone stops shooting long enough for the baby to get out. It really just made me go 'what the fuck is wrong with us!?!? How could anything matter more than life!?' Wonderful, wonderful movie. I think the only movie that made me cry harder was Wit. Which you should all see. Now.

Oh and btw arif and i just watched The Descent. meh
Some new and older movie reviews for everyone:

The Guardian: not a bad movie 3.5/5

Flags of Our Fathers: good historical movie about the raising of the flag at Iwo Jima. However, it can be boring at times 3.5/5

Black Snake Moan: great movie, pretty funny. Samuel L Jackson all the way. If you like Christina Ricci you should definitely see it. 4/5

Rocky Balboa: much better than I anticipated. Focuses more on Rocky as a person later in his life. 4/5

Blood Diamond: Very good movie about diamond mining in Africa. Alot of good action. 4.5/5
