my bad on taking so long:
i think "being john malkovic" is my favorite so far and the tweaks i would suggest would apply to the rest of the songs
1) easy on the reverb, i know it can be used to cover up some shortcomings in production, but it makes the sound a lot less in your face
2) rhythm distortion guitar - probably working on this would do the most benefit to the overall production, right now it's so fuzzy you can't hear the articulation, i'm pretty sure you overdubbed and panned the track, but it's hard to tell,
here's a basic tutorial that really gave me a good basic idea of how to do things, i always try to decide whether i'm going to just dub the track twice (hard left and hard right) or if i'm just going to go crazy and have all kinds of dubbed tracks in all kinds of panned situations, for examples of the former "the fake sound of progress" by lostprophets particularly at 3:22, for the latter most smashing pumpkins songs, listen to them with headphones on and pay attention to how the rhythm guitars tracks are panned and eq'd, also listen to tool with headphones and pay attention the same way, tool will sometimes keep the guitar tracked once, then they'll bust out the hard panned over dubbing
for the actual tone of the track, i'd try a few more amp models, cabs, and mics, on your ux2 and keep a check on your mid-highs on the eq, one thing you always have to be careful of though with the rhythm guitar is making sure it doesn't get in the low frequencies too much and muddy up the bass, so it's a balancing game
3) digging that you're doing some lead stuff, once again easy on the reverb, try fiddling with the delay and see if that gives you the sound you want, delay is tricky because you either want to set the delay in time with the song (calculate bpm to millisecs and use that or some multiple or fraction) or most decidedly out of time with the song, if it's kind of approximate it will clutter up the tempo
guess that's about it, looking forward to full on with drums and all
